It's Not My Fault

For years I felt like I failed as a parent. Your daughter’s how old and she can’t _________? I didn’t know, but it was my job to know. Now, years later I find out it might not even have a cause. The difference academically between my son and daughter is night and day. It’s possible that I learned from my mistakes. It’s equally as possible that I did such a good job with my daughter that it took this many years to get a diagnosis, potential diagnosis. We’re not there yet. But, regardless, I did the best I could and it’s not my fault. I don’t know how much I believe that right now, but if I keep saying it maybe eventually I will.
